An English Country Manor

Alright Everyone!

Driving through overhanging tree branches, hearing the birds chirp in a nearby tree and watching the stags bound through the open grassland, Hazel and I make our way to an old English country manor nestled in acres of traditional Woodland and old farmland.

To celebrate the end of exams my best friend and I decided to go out for a traditional English Cream tea at a traditional English country house so I thought I would do a little quick outfit of the day.

To dress for such an occasion required a lot of thought, we both wanted to look casual yet smart and well put together. So, we both opted for clothing which could be dressed up or down, not just for cream tea but for weddings, christenings and other special occasions!

I chose a simple white smock dress by New Look which fell to just above my knee and paired it with my favourite new pair of dolly shoes from Fat Face and my trusty old tweed riding jacket from Jack Wills!

Hazel opted for a pair of classic blue skinny jeans from Gap, a floaty mint green tank top which practically screams Summer and some sweet boat shoes!

I hope you enjoy and I will see you very soon, Goodbye!

  3. Hiya. I know this is going to sound incredibly 'school girlish' and childish but im going to a bbq next week and the guy that I like will be there. I want to dress casual but I also want to stand out from the other girls, would it be possible to pick your brains on what possible outfits I could wear? it would be a tremendous help !!!

    1. Hello there! Not at all, outfits are so important to get right. My next post is all about date outfits so hopefully that may give you some inspiration- it should be up within the next few days! But just in case, I would normally go for a casual loose fitting dress- either a smock or maxi style with a pair of sandles and possibly a blazer or leather jacket, I hope this helps!

    1. Hello there! I didn't realise the comment was deleted and was just about to reply to it, I am so sorry! You caused no offense, it was the deer park hotel. My friend and I thought we would make a special road trip to spend lunch there as we had heard lot about it and it was definitely worth the drive! I hope this helps!

  6. I don't think I can describe how jealous I am of your Jack wills blazer! Also this post is so cute, as you and this blog post remind me of Zoella a little. I know the new autumn collection has come out on their website so could you recommend some items for autumn?

    1. Thank you so much, that's incredibly kind of you! Of course I can, one of my favourite past times is scrolling aimlessly through the Jack Wills website... I adore the Fairlawn Blazer in Damson, the Hirst Cord Utility Dress, the Heroson Cropped Cable Roll Neck Jumper, the Nerston leggings and the Aggie Cord Mini-skirt!

    4. On the topic of Jack Wills, I know their new winter collection is all about "preppy" university style. Is it possible to request a similar kind of blog, for items such as university/college essentials/outfits to take?
