A Chritsmas Country Walk
Alright my lovelies!
My oh my, I cannot believe it is that time of year again. Christmas is only weeks away and I feel as if I haven't even had time to blink. I look around at the twinkling fairy lights on the Christmas tree, hearing the festive jingles and breathing in the heady sent of mulled wine and I feel content once again.
Christmas is without a doubt my favourite time of year, as it is for many people. There is just something about this time of year that makes me feel cosy, warm and loved. I get to see my family a privalidge I no longer take for granted, since I am now living half way across the country from them, see all my amazing friends and induldge in some much needed home cooking.
Being a countryside girl at heart I find that to clear my head and take a step back from the overwhelming nature of the Christmas period, a country walk can do wonders. The fresh chilly air and crunching leaves beneath my feet calms me and I find that I can stop for a moment and think, something I believe we all need to do once in a while.
So Dad, my little cocker spaniel- Teasel and I headed out into the nearby fields and woods to embrace the peacefulness of the English countryside. In order to remain warm from the bitter wind I opted for a simple blue jumper dress and floral wellies from Joules with my classic chocolate Barbour and colourful thick scarf and sheepskin headband which I found in a little cottage up in the Scottish Highlands.
So if you ever feel like you are buried under a mountain of things to do, just open your front door and head out into the open. I can promise you it works wonders!
I hope you enjoy and I will be back with another Chritsmassy blog very soon.
Goodbye!
