Winter winds

Alrighty everyone!

I'm back with a brand new wintry blog post for you all!

In true English style the storms have arrived and I am at this very moment curled up under a heap of woolly blankets nursing a hot chocolate with my fairy lights twinkling around me, cliché I know!

Winter is here, and its here with vengeance as the nights draw in ever closer and the cold wind bites ever colder but that didn't stop my friends and I from braving the outside and starting some early Christmas shopping.

Both Emily and I have a similar body shape and height. We both find that either loose fitting dresses or high waisted clothing accentuate our height and willowy frame. Consequently I wore my wool boxy navy jumper dress from Joules to keep me warm, my trusty Frye cowboy boots and gorgeous floaty tartan cape from Zara to shelter from the wind. Whilst Emily also opted for something tartan inspired- her cosy boyfriend jacket as well as a high waisted pencil skirt with simple black crop top.

We  popped from shop to shop sheltering from the wind and the rain, slowly building a pile of Christmas gifts with the smell of roasted chestnuts and mulled wine filling the air from the nearby cafe's, it truly felt as though we had entered our own Christmas wonderland. However being a student meant that, whilst Emily and I tried on hundreds of gorgeous cosy jumpers we had to reserve them for our Christmas lists but it was so lovely to step away from my desk and have an evening off to natter and enjoy each others company.

It was just a lovely evening and made me realise that, whilst I have what feels like endless deadlines and assessments, university has really opened my eyes to the huge world around me. I have met so many amazing people and there is so much to see and do, so many exciting opportunities, all you have to do is close your eyes, take a step forward and leap.

After the horrific attacks in Paris and the consistent murder stories featured daily in the news, I have realised life is too short and I don't want to waste it so if there is one thing to take from this long ramble (i'm so sorry!), its that you should grasp life with two hands, live each day like it could be your last and never regret a thing.

As my mother always told me, everything happens for a reason.

I hope you have an equally wonderful evening and I will see you very soon!

    1. Thank you, I am really glad to, I had very much begun to miss blogging! I loved that one, I watched it recently and I have to confess it made me rather jealous looking into my tiny university wardrobe! I can try my best but my wardrobe here isn't much to write home about so I will postpone it and will do a tour of my wardrobe back home in the southwest!
