Its beginning to look a lot like Summer
Well, its been a while!
I'm sorry for the lack of posts recently, having been immersed in a mountain of revision for the last few months I have finally finished my exams so new posts will be on their way soon!
Whilst I have been gone, here in England, Summer is now in full swing. The birds are chirping, the roses are in full bloom and the smell of salt water and burning coals fills the air!
I wanted to keep the outfit quite cool and not too heavy but there was also a bit of a chilly breeze so I wanted to make sure I had something to throw on when it got a little bit cooler.
Hence, I chose my trusty, if slightly threadbare denim boyfriend shorts. I would highly recommend finding yourself a classic pair of denim shorts as they are a wardrobe staple- I have worn these non stop over the last three years I have had them.
I then threw on my black leather jacket which I found on a vintage market stool in London (what a lucky find!) I really think that, if ever there is an investment to be made it is on a leather jacket as, they are just such a classic and will last you a life time. Shops such as All Saints, Topshop, Miss selfridge and Asos all do similar style of jackets if you are on the look out.
And of course the outfit wouldn't be very me if I didn't wear my Frye cowboy boots!
I hope this gave you a little inspiration or just got you in the Summer spirit and I shall see you very soon. Goodbye!
This has to be one of my favourite outfits of yours! its so summery and classic. Thanks for mentioning the jack wills sale I must have a look if I can, did you pick up any other sale items? :)
ReplyDeleteThank you very much! Well, I definitely wanted to, however I think my bank balance wouldn't have forgiven me if I had but, I did see a couple of other items which I loved. One was the Alcornbury playsuit and the other was the Aldgate bodice dress!
DeleteHope your a levels went well, I remember taking my time and your life seems to be taken over by revision !. I know you want to enjoy your new found freedom from revision but was wondering if you could do a post on festival fashion and festival makeup as im going to a couple festivals during the summee and I would love to see your ideas. I know youve probably got lots of lovely things to do so I understand if you wouldn't want to xx

ReplyDeleteThank you! No, despite my love of fashion I see it more as a hobby and am hoping to study Economics!
DeleteI used to study economics back in my days at school, although that was 9 years ago so I think I migjt be a little rusty! Do you plan on continuing blogging whilst studying ?
DeleteHello! I do indeed, as long as I can keep on top of all my school work!
DeleteEconomics, wow! thats very impressive. I noticed there was a sale on at face face at the moment and was wondering if you have any recommendations on the best items to buy ?
ReplyDeleteI certainly can! The Jacquard stripe dress, the Portmore peep toe cut out boots or the Blythe horizontal stripe shirt are all really nice and I love the Yarmouth Mac!
