Love me do...
Alright Everyone,
Summer is in the air!
Now, I know I may be jumping the gun a little, but here in the UK the weather has been consistent vast expanses of blue sky's and warming sunshine and that, ladies and gentlemen is a very unusual occurrence! Especially for a country which is synonymous with 'April showers during Springtime!
Now, I know Valentines day is meant to be the time of love, however I often see Spring and Summer as the time for blossoming relationships since the weather is nice, exams are over and people are in a carefree, loving mood!
Therefore, I thought for this weeks blog I might divert from my usual fashion posts and do something a little bit adventurous...a blog based around the theme of love and dates!
Since I am no expert in this department, I asked a some of my friends to help me and together we have come up with a few ideas for some cute dates you could do with your boyfriend or girlfriend, or for just a fun day out with your friends! I hope you all enjoy and I will see you very soon!
A cute picnic by the river...
My friends and I are very lucky as we live in a beautiful part of the English countryside, consequently picnics by the river are a great little date idea to enjoy some great food and a stunning view! You could go out for lunch or even in the evening to relish the sunset, I find that picnics are a lovely, peaceful way to wind down and catch up on all the events of the day. I am very 'English' in my picnic choices favouring scones with cream and jam, strawberries and cucumber sandwiches but you could chose anything which takes your fancy.
A walk in the woods....
You may have noticed a little theme running through these date ideas- nature! I think that much like a picnic a walk is lovely as it allows you talk without any interruptions and enjoy the peacefulness of the atmosphere around you. I particularly like taking a walk in the woods as there is so much to see and take in, and often you can find a swing seat hiding on a near-by tree.
Build a Den...
Embrace your inner-child! Build a fort out of blankets in your living room or even outside in the garden, make a little picnic and sit back and relax!
Make a jar of date ideas...
A cute homemade idea! Take it in turn to write and pick out dates, creating surprise and anticipation.
A living room fondue...
Even though its coming up to summer sometimes, particularly here in the UK the weather can take a turn for the worst! So if your stuck inside, if you can get your hands on a fondue set, melt some chocolate, gather some mash-mellows,strawberries and any condiments of your choice, pop on your favourite movie or T.V show (Footloose or Ghost are always a winner) and you are good to go!
This post was soo cute!, nice change from the fashion theme. Hope there are most posts coming soon :)
