The 5 Days of the Week
Alright Everyone!
It's another New Year, the nights are getting lighter and I thought, to start the New Year off I would give you all an insight into the outfits I have been wearing for the past five days!
It has been quite chilly in the South West over the past week and consequently the focus of most of my outfits is warmth and cosyness, with a few classic shapes thrown in.
So here is Monday to Friday, Katherine Lottie style...
Monday...
On Monday, I went into town and decided to dress up slightly by wearing an outfit staple of my green tweed JackWills.com blazer. The cut of the blazer is very slimming and structured which I absolutely adore and particularly as I have moss green eyes the colour is fantastic too! I paired the jacket with a very festive flannel tartan shirt from Fatface.com, along with my old classic black skinny jeans and Chelsea boots.
Tuesday...
Tuesday was a stay at home day, so I focused on the cosy element of my week pairing a simple grey long sleeved, boat neck shirt from Hobbs.co.uk, with this amazing Aztec over-sized cardi I found in the Urbanoutfitters.co.uk sale, my classic black jeans again and, drum role please...
My brand new long black leather boots!
I honestly cannot recommend long boots enough, they are so flattering, elegant and stylish. They lengthen the silhouette and in particular are perfect for those on the taller side, as I have discovered.
Wednesday...
Ohh I do love myself a bit of mint green and a peter pan collar...
Ergo, this is one of my favourite outfits of the week.
I love how simple it is, yet how effective. Again my new black boots made an appearance and a polka dot shift dress from Zara.com. By using a basic shift dress you create a soft silhouette which you can pair with anything, but today I chose to wear my Newlook.com mint green cardigan which I recently received for Christmas and have not taken off since, it is so soft and warm, perfect for the winter months!
Thursday...
Thursday was a walking day where mum and I went for a stroll across the nearby fields so I went for another easy shift dress- my classic sky blue lace one from Yumidirect.co.uk, again pairing it with a cosy long cardigan, did I mention I love a good old cosy cardi! I also chose to wear my Frye campus tan boots which are so incredibly comfy, ideal for taking a good long walk in!
Friday...
Okay, I will be the first to admit that I am a Cowgirl at heart and am in love with all things Southern. Ever since reading my first John Steinbeck novel my heart was captured by dungarees and Cowboy boots and I will find any excuse to make a sneaky purchase!
Today I went for my long dungarees, which are just sheer perfection. Since the dungarees were the staple of my outfit, I chose to keep my accessories quite simple. So to keep me warm from the Winter chill I wore my thick wooly, cable knit jumper from Jackwills.com, my tan Chelsea boots from Fatface.com and to pick up on the colours of the outfit, my tartan scarf.
I hope you have enjoyed today's blog and I shall see you all very soon, goodbye!
