Pumpkin Spice
Alright everyone...

I woke up this morning and looked out of my curtains, discovering to my delight that a light frost had settled on the lawn and nearby trees. I came to the conclusion that I just had to take a early morning walk to enjoy the freshness of the new day. So I dragged my mum out of bed, tempting her with a steaming cup of tea and we set off into the early sunlight.
A trip in the November air is enough to blow the cobwebs away and put a skip in your step. Bonfire night has just been and Christmas, yes I just said Christmas, is just around the corner. Strolling along the rough country roads, scattered with browning oak leaves with the Winter sunlight peaking through the tree's, we had a nice long chat about our weeks both past and future, embracing the peacefulness of the open fields.
To tackle the cold air and crunchy grass I chose to wear my relatively new 'Autumn' skirt, as my friend likes to call it, a cosy cashmere jumper and some chunky desert boots. I also added a bowler hat to keep my head warm as my woolly bobble hat seems to have disappeared!

Being abnormally tall thanks to my giant of a father I find it incredibly difficult to find a decent length skirt, but this gem of one is the perfect length for my 5ft 11 and a half inches (yes that half matters!), falls classically and looks amazing. For me, the circle shape is incredibly flattering, nipping in the waist and the colours are wonderful for the colder months. Having a mild obsession with pumpkin's, spices and warming beverages, this skirt encompasses all of my favourite things, naturally it has become my new obsession.
I was very lucky in my discovery of the skirt as I found it on the 'last chance to buy rail' at Topshop.com. If you love it as much as I do, I would head down to your local as it seems they are fairly popular! My cashmere jumper is from Woolovers.com and was a Christmas present and my desert boots are an old classic from last years January Sales.
I would thoroughly recommend an early morning walk if you need to clear your head and love the colder months. I hope you are having an equally lovely November and I shall see you very soon!
