Valentino Pre Spring/Summer 2015

Alright everyone!

Today, because many designers are announcing their pre-collections for Spring/Summer 2015 I wanted to blog about the collection which I admire the most and gain the most inspiration from.

Introducing Valentino!

I absolutely adore the folk, country atmosphere of the collection and love the classic, sleek shapes and soft, subtle colours which have been featured. They are elegant and flattering during a time of the year when shorts and a t-shirt are the norm.

The boohoo, easy shapes are flattering for any body-shape and the bright, floral patterns give a pop of colour to any outfit. So I have picked the pieces from the collection which I think are brilliant for ideas, so you can inject a bit of folk into your wardrobe.

Just a little side-note: I am also very pleased that cork bottom espadrilles and high tying gladiator sandals are coming back into fashion as I find that they are the comfiest and most attractive looking shoes for the hotter months of the year.

I'll see you very soon!

I love the cord texture and flattering a-line cut of this skirt

.
One of my favorite parts of this outfit is the embellished blazer. With any outfit,  this will completely transform it and will become a staple in anyone's wardrobe for next year.  Furthermore the red boots are so pretty and unique!  They remind me of Ariel's red boots in "Footloose" and like the jacket I think they will  be a staple in next year's wardrobe.  I have a pair of red cowboy boots and they are fantastic, Believe it or not the vivid red compliments so many outfits!
Again a jacket is the outfit staple here and I love how a simple army green jacket has been transformed by the carefree, pretty butterfly images printed on it. Also a pretty white, lace dress is fast becoming 'The' wardrobe staple so I would certainly think about making and investment soon!
I absolutely adore the little cap sleeves- they are a great cut for anyone with broader shoulders (like me!) as they soften the curve of the shoulder-blades and the skirt rests on the waist line so has a very soft, classic drape.

This is the perfect shape for a little black summer dress, the quirky collar and floral embellishment add a little something extra, turning this classic into a showstopper.
