Headdresses

Alright everyone,

Today, the sun is shining here in the UK so i'm happy and blogging seems like the perfect way to express my happiness!
The Elvish Headdress

The sun has inspired many people over the years and reminded them of experiences or objects that they had all but forgotten about. This occurred to me when I woke up, turned over and noticed a slither of light peaking through my curtains. I suddenly was drawn back into my childhood and all the endless summer days I spent reading one of my most cherished novel, The Lord of the Rings.

I always loved the imagery of the novel and being obsessed with both fashion and books I have begun to draw parallels between the two forms of creativity. Such as fashion collections inspired by novels and novels inspired by previous styles and iconic fashion eras. So when re-visiting The Lord of the Rings I noticed certain fashions which I thought would fit in perfectly with today's fashion climate. So the certain look I am going to blog about is the elvish headdresses.

Now, you may be thinking "elvish headdresses!?" but trust me that the elvish headdresses (or the similar style of a circlet) would be utterly beautiful for summer jewellry (or even winter) and would look beautiful with dresses, skirts, festival wear and dressed up in the evening. The fashion of wearing headdresses was very popular in the 1920's as it gave an elegance to the already renowned elegant fashion era. Headdresses will just add that little something extra to your outfit making you the envy of all around. I wore mine to prom and had so many compliments that I think it would be a shame not to share my go to statement piece of jewelry with you all! I hope you find the pictures interesting and helpful, I'll see you all very soon!
The circlets created by www.kyetewjewellery.co.uk were worn by artists and celebrities such
as Bo Bruce from the "Voice UK"

Floral headdresses are very popular for festivals but they also look beautiful worn at special occasions or for an everyday summer look

    1. I can certainly have a go!
I don't think I really have a style inspiration, I tend to just see fashion I like and try to incorporate it into my style. However if I was to say somebody who's fashion I admire the most, I would probably choose Nina Nesbitt- a singer song writer from Scotland (I would highly recomend checking out her music as well!)

    1. Thank you! I'm not too sure, I found it at a festival but they have similar ones in stores like Free People, Topshop and New Look.
